iQ Content is delighted to welcome John Wood to the iQ team as a Senior Analyst, with special responsibility for usability services.
John is a recognised expert in user centred design methods such as persona and scenario development, and has considerable experience in user testing and expert evaluation methods. This extends to information architecture design techniques such as card sorting, affinity diagrams and the development of controlled vocabularies.
Before joining iQ Content, John worked at the National Council for the Blind of Ireland, conducting research on haptic user interfaces and assistive technologies. He was also instrumental in setting up the NCBI's Centre for Inclusive Technology (CFit).
Previously, John spent six years at eLearning company SmartForce, where he established the technical publications group, managed business requirements analysis and led an initiative to introduce user centred design into the software development process.
"We're delighted that someone with John's expertise and experience has decided to join us. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skills, which will complement and enhance our existing skillsets," says Morgan McKeagney, Managing Director of iQ Content.
"I'm excited about joining such a creative and dynamic company as iQ Content. I'm really looking forward to making a contribution to the team, getting down to work, and having a positive impact on our clients' websites," added Wood.
