iQ Content, a leading internet consultancy based in Dublin, has today announced that it has partnered with Google to provide enterprise search capability to Ireland's leading corporations and organisations. iQ Content will resell, customise and integrate Google's Search Appliance (GSA) - the enterprise version of Google's legendary search technology - allowing Irish organisations to harness the power of Google to search their own websites, intranets and internal applications.

As the volume of information within organisations explodes, an effective search is critical to maintain internal efficiency, productivity and good customer service. Once set up, the GSA will enable organisations to search 15 million documents in over 220 different file formats, in any language, at the click of a mouse.

"The GSA can help companies to reduce wasted time spent looking for documents internally", says Morgan McKeagney, Managing Director, iQ Content. "Recent research has shown that knowledge workers spend around 25% of their time looking for information . Google's Search Appliance capability can reduce this significantly by allowing the user to quickly find data, across the organisatio", he added.

As well as increasing productivity, enterprise search prevents duplication of existing work and eliminates the need for complex filing structures.

"Google is excited to have iQ Content as a partner in the Google Enterprise Professional program," said David Chalmers, Sales Engineering, Google. "We are looking forward to helping Irish organisations to implement the latest search technologies in their work environment", he added.

iQ Content has worked with leading Irish organisations since 2001, helping them to improve their websites, intranets and web applications through a range of usability, accessibility, content and training services.
