iQ BootCamp 2006: All over and all happy

The Boot Camp is finished for this year, and we’ve just about got our breaths back. Now all that’s left for us to debrief, analyse the feedback, and get our planning hats on for next year. And you can help!

iQ BootCamp 2.0: Bigger and better

This year we completely revised the BootCamp format to make it more condensed, more interactive, and funkier generally. New features included:

So how did it all go down?

Really, really well. In fact, the feedback from this BootCamp has probably been the best we’ve ever got.

Several people commented that it was “the best conference” they’d ever been to. Other comments included:

  • “The bootcamp was great; I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. I’ll recommend it to anyone who’ll listen!”
  • “Excellent — really liked the interactive format, anecdotes and examples used. Kept it very interesting.”
  • “Very good. Entertaining and it has left me fired up with new ideas to take back to work.”

We’ve put up two sets of photos:

Even better for 2007

Our objective now is to build on this, and work hard to make next year even better.

Just some of the things we’re looking at:

  • Better promotion: so that more people hear about it, and more people get the opportunity to attend
  • New workshops: addressing the topics that web managers and developers want to hear about
  • New locations: bringing the Boot Camp closer to our audience, by delivering in new cities and locations

You can help!

If you attended the event, let us know what you thought of it. How could we make it better? What topics would you like to learn more about?

If you thought about attending, but didn’t, let us know why. What factors contributed to you not attending? (Timing? Cost? Location?) How can we make it easier for you to attend next time?
