Following on from Colman’s “treatise” on the usability of the kitchen sink and subsequent feature on Newstalk radio, Colman’s slot on Newstalk is now available. You can listen to it above (click play) or download it for later.
If you prefer not to listen live, you can download Colman talking to Sean Moncrieff on Newstalk 106-108 (MP3, 8 min 31 sec, 5MB)
Usability matters
Usability matters. Usability is about making life a little easier, regardless of whether it’s a plastic basin, multi-featured dishwasher, complex software or a website. If it doesn’t serve the primary purpose of making life easier, then what’s the point?
Got your own usability peeves?
Is it those handles on doors that need to be pushed or Tesco’s new self-service tills? What usability peeves get your goat? Leave us a comment and we’ll blog about them and maybe even talk about them on national radio!
Go raibh mile maith agat, Newstalk

The recording comes courtesy of the most lovely and accommodating Mairead O’Dwyer from the Moncrieff show on NewsTalk 106-108. Thanks Mairead!
