Des makes a prediction at Boot Camp

This morning I joined my colleague Des Traynor for his course entitled ‘Killer Web Applications’. As a former lecturer at the University of Maynooth, Des’s academic eye was able to keenly dissect the good and bad of online application design. As shown below, he also got delegates to try out some of his recommendations.

Interestingly, he forecasted that within 5 years most (if not all) desktop applications will have migrated online. He is so confident of this, that he even promised to refund delegate fees from his own pocket if it does not happen.
To support this assertion he demonstrated how this is already happening for examples such as Adobe Buzzword, Google Documents, etc.
Now - while I have every confidence in Des’s expertise, it might be worth keeping a copy of this blog just in case it takes 6 years. Sorry Des!
