Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 & more

Des, Tom, Paul and Krishna have just finished their presentations at the Future Now seminar. Each speaker gave his/her own view on where the web is going.

Web 1.0 to Web 4.0 and more

Tom’s was the most wide ranging, covering internet developments from web 1.0 as far ahead as web 4.0 (which I never even considered before). Paul and Des focused more on design and how organisations need to work harder to keep users at the core of their development processes.

Finally, Krishna explored branding and how simple actions can have large positive effects, e.g. like not forgetting to put your website address on everything you do.

In particular, I liked Paul’s powerpoint (pictured below). He appears to have mastered the art of content. All his information was packed onto 1 overhead!

And now to drinks…and an auction

With the FutureNow seminar just finished, delegates are now heading upstairs for the Apres Boot drinks. And not just that, iQ Content is holding a charity auction in aid of Trocaire.

On offer are a number of iPods, restaurant vouchers and more. Whatever offers we get for these, iQ will match. (Interesting to see if anyone puts in a bid of 1,000,000 euro for an iPod shuffle just to see how Morgan reacts. Could be fun.)
