– posted July 30th, 2008 by Laurence Veale Comments (3)
I gave an overview of analytics last week for Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Startups (HPSUs).
Great morning with very interesting speakers and equally interesting attendees and businesses.
For anyone who’s interested, here’s my presentation:

Meant to ask *ages* ago - Whats do you say when you have slide 2 on screen? Is it just the typical attention grabber?

Think Lar made a joke about his wife not being as good looking as this, then morphed into discussion about her (Danish) online buying habits, and about how that website should use analytics to justify an English version of the site
Key things I took out of the presentation:
1) A lot of free analytics tools out there.
2) Concentrate on analytics that lead to actions (as there is *too* much info in them).

Hi Paul,
trying to get me in the doghouse?
I said my wife was twice as good looking as this.
Des,
it’s just a simple slide which I fly through and say something like “this is my wife…and this is her desktop”.
