Ben Dunne, victim of freemium or master of viral marketing?

Below, a small sample of the ads placed once Ben Dunne announced ads could be placed free on bendunne.com.

Above, Arnold from the telly.

A spider camel, where else would you get it?

This car woodn’t go.

Joke from the Jurassic period.

Lost his marbles?
Having reviewed the ads, I repeat the question “victim of freeium or master of viral marketing?”. What do you think?

It’s all gone a bit nasty and porny now so I’d say he should have shelled out on pre-moderation. My car ad is still up there. No takers yet though.

I noticed it had gotten pretty lewd last night alright. I’d be amazed if this was intentional - I suspect it was just a low budget job done by amateurs who never even considered the necessity of content moderation - or even user email verification, which is also missing! Either way, you can be sure Joe Duffy will be discussing it all after lunch.

Are IQ Content doing viral marketing on BenDunne.com?! One of the screenshots on this page shows an ad that’s only 10 minutes old!

Yes, we’re doing viral marketing and we’re on a cut of the revenue for all flux capicitators sold on the site.
In reality, I like to think we’re just very observant.

Or you’re just following really cool people on twitter Lar. My wooden car is still for sale by the way, despite the fact that I’ve had at least two other ads pulled for being really poor jokes. http://www.bendunne.com/ads/7461-car-for-sale

Following cool people on Twitter? Are there any cool people left on Twitter? I though they’d all moved over to foursquare.

It’s *incredibly* relative Lar.

The coolest people don’t have iPhones or Androids, so they’re certainly not on foursquare
