43 Folders

Approaches to managing information overload, being more efficient and struggling with ‘constant partial attention’ have become a topical issue, with New York Times articles and something approaching a cult developing around ‘Getting Things Done’ (or ‘GTD’ to devotees), a self-help book by David Allen. 43 Folders offers useful starting points for people just looking for tips and tricks both hi-tech (advice on the Apple uber-launcher Quicksilver) and low-tech (how to make a ‘hipster PDA’ out of index cards and a bulldog clip).
There’s also good information for people trying to embrace the GTD approach. Of course, you could waste a lot of time reading up on ways to hack your fancy Moleskine notebook, so be warned.
